MIAMI – October 23, 2008 – Gunster, Yoakley & Stewart has expanded its South Florida offices with the addition of four new attorneys: Jennifer J. Robinson, shareholder in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Grace Gutierrez, of counsel in West Palm Beach, Fla.; Mariana R. Ribeiro, associate in Miami; and Marisa K. Bennett, associate in Fort Lauderdale.

Robinson, who joins the firm’s Private Wealth Services and Trusts & Estates Practice Groups, brings more than a decade of AV-rated legal experience in trust and estate administration, estate planning and guardianship administration. Robinson is a member of the Broward County Bar Association and the Broward County Guardianship Association, and recently served on the board of directors for the Broward County Estate Planning Council. She is on the board of directors for the Broward County Humane Society and Lighthouse of Broward County, and is a member of the Professional Advisors Council for the Community Foundation of Broward County. She earned a juris doctor, summa cum laude, from the Nova Southeastern University School of Law.

Florida Bar board Certified in wills, trusts and estates, Gutierrez joins the Private Wealth Services Practice Group to focus on estate and trust planning and administration; gift and generation-skipping tax planning; and probate administration. A member of The Florida Bar and the American Bar Associations, Gutierrez earned an LL.M. (master of laws) and a juris doctor from the University of Florida School of Law. Before joining the firm, Gutierrez was a shareholder with Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt in Ft. Myers, Fla. She is fluent in Spanish.

Ribeiro, a member of the firm’s Immigration Practice Group, earned a juris doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2006. She is a member of the Young Lawyers Division of The Florida Bar. While a student, Ribeiro co-authored an article for the Berkeley La Raza Law Journal, the longest continually published journal of legal scholarship that focuses on the Latino community. She is fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish.

Bennett is a new member of the Environmental & Land Use and Business Litigation Practice Groups, and represents clients in securing entitlements as well as performs due diligence for all types of real estate developments. Her professional memberships include The Florida Bar, the American Bar Association, and the Urban Land Institute’s Young Leaders Group. Bennett also is a member of The Florida Bar’s Environmental & Land Use Section and the City, County and Government Law Section. She earned a juris doctor at the University of Miami School of Law in 2007.
