WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (January 1, 2009) — The 85-year old law firm of Gunster, Yoakley & Stewart announced its new brand of “Gunster,” effective Jan. 1, 2009, at the same time the venerable, full-service firm expands its statewide presence. Gunster also unveiled a new, black and gold-colored logo to reflect its depth, strength and forward-thinking culture.

Gunster, with 140 attorneys, recently added two offices and highly regarded attorneys in Tallahassee and Jacksonville. The new offices join the firm’s other six offices in Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, Palm Beach, Stuart, Vero Beach and West Palm Beach. In 2008, George LeMieux, former chief of staff to Governor Charlie Crist, rejoined Gunster as chairman of the firm, and Bill Perry, based in the West Palm Beach office, was named managing shareholder.

“Gunster is proud of its Florida heritage and deep roots in the communities it serves,” said LeMieux, who is based in the firm’s Tallahassee and Ft. Lauderdale offices. “The new logo and powerful, one-word name is intended to convey a level of sophistication and the solid legal advice that Florida businesses require.”

The change further marks Gunster’s progress as Florida’s recognized firm for businesses. For more information about Gunster, visit www.gunster.com or call (800) 749-1980.
