FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MIAMI – July 30, 2008 – Arthur J. Furia, a shareholder with Gunster Yoakley & Stewart, and Regional Vice President and member of the Executive Committee for the National Italian American Foundation (NIAF), was bestowed the Italian Honor “Cavaliere “Ufficiale (The Order of Merit of the Republic of Italy), by Ambassador Marco Rocca, the Consul General of Italy to Miami. The award is bestowed by the Italian president and is among the highest accolades for contributions in the fields of literature, the economy, public service, social, philanthropic and humanitarian activities by the Italian Government. Furia was honored for his steadfast support of the Italian government in the United States. In 2000, he also was awarded the Cavaliere by Italy’s President.
