MIAMI, Fla. (April 24, 2009) — 3/4 Gunster shareholder Arthur J. Furia, General Counsel and Southeast Regional Vice President of the National Italian American Foundation (NIAF), helped kick off the 2009 Yacht and Brokerage Show on Miami Beach by serving as the master of ceremonies for a private reception hosted by the Italian Trade Commission on the rooftop of the Viceroy Miami at Icon Brickell. Furia also presided over the ribbon cutting ceremony at the show location in Miami Beach.
The Italian Ministry of Economic Development, the Italian Trade Commission and the Italian Marine Industry Association hosted the event, which showcased the Italian yachting industry during the six-day show on Miami Beach.
The annual event attracted more than 60 Italian companies and several dignitaries from Rome, including the Honorable Adolfo Urso, the Italian Ministry’s Secretary of State for Economic Development; and Umberto Vattani, president of the Italian Trade Commission.
