Facebook’s IPO price is reliant on a number of factors, indicates South Florida Business Journal writer Paul Brinkmann.

One of those factors is how the company handles growth, says Bob White, a shareholder in Gunster’s Fort Lauderdale office who specializes in technology and entrepreneurial companies.

“One criticism of [Mark] Zuckerberg is he engineered this Instagram purchase himself, brining the board in at the last moment,” White said. The share price will demand growth, and the question is whether Facebook can manage it, he said.

White said LinkedIn is an example of a private company gone public successfully, while Groupon, not so much.
