What would you do today if you knew a hurricane was going to hit your home or practice tomorrow?As seen in the July/August edition of the Florida Bar Journal, Gunster attorney Brian Sparks authored an article on how people (attorneys included) and businesses alike often fail to adequately prepare for disasters and emergencies. Sparks discusses the ways to better prepare and what The Florida Bar’s RPPTL Section is doing to combat the unpreparedness trend.

Sparks is a shareholder in the private wealth services practice at Gunster. His legal practice is primarily devoted to representing individuals and businesses in tax, estate, asset protection, business succession, and personal cybersecurity planning and tax and fiduciary controversy matters. He is Florida Bar Board Certified in Tax Law and in Wills, Trusts and Estates and is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC). In addition, he leads the Disaster and Emergency Planning and Response Committee of The Florida Bar RPPTL Section.
