Fort Lauderdale, Fla. — Gunster Yoakley attorney Luna Phillips is one of 56 Florida lawyers whom The Florida Bar recently certified as specialists in the newly established state and federal government and administrative practice specialty, the first area of its kind in the U.S. Phillips focuses her practice in the areas of environmental and land use law, as well as administrative and governmental law. Prior to joining the firm, shewas a senior attorney with the South Florida Water Management District from 1997 through 2007 and a senior attorney with the Department of Environmental Protection from 1995 through 1997.

Phillips earned her J.D. at Mercer University School of Law and B.S. at the University of Florida. She is admitted to The Florida Bar, Environmental and Land Use Law Section (“ELULS”), Administrative Law Section. Ms. Phillips is also admitted to practice in the state of Georgia and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Phillips lectures extensively on Environmental and Administrative Law topics and is published in the ELULS Treatise on Environmental Law. She is a member of the United States Green Building Council’s South Florida Chapter and was named to the Legal Elite by Florida Trend as one of the top environmental law attorneys.
