West Palm Beach, FL (August 9, 2010) – Gunster is pleased to announce that three of its shareholders have earned their Board Certification from the Florida Bar. Board certification recognizes attorneys’ special knowledge, skills and proficiency in various areas of law and professionalism, and ethics in practice.
Alan S. Lederman, who is located in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office, is Board Certified in Tax Law. Lederman has been named a Leader in their Field by Chambers USA, a leading legal directory based in the UK, is a Florida Super Lawyer and is listed as one of The Best Lawyers in America. He is a published author of numerous articles for prominent tax publications and has presented at tax conferences for the American Bar Association, the Florida Bar and the NYU Institute on Federal Taxation. Lederman received his juris doctorate, cum laude, from Harvard Law School.
Adi Rappoport, who is located in the firm’s West Palm Beach office, is Board Certified in Tax Law. Rappoport concentrates his practice in federal and state taxation, corporate, partnership and individual taxation, estate planning, tax exempt organizations, federal and state controversies, business transactions and general corporate law. He was recently named one of South Florida’s “40 Under 40” by the South Florida Business Journal, is President of the Palm Beach Tax Institute and Director for the Planned Giving Council of Palm Beach County. Rappoport received both his juris doctorate and L.L.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
Daniel A. Thomas, who is also located in the firm’s West Palm Beach office, is Board Certified in Construction Law by the Florida Bar. Thomas concentrates his practice in commercial and construction litigation, with a particular focus on all aspects of construction disputes, construction defect claims, real estate litigation, construction lien and bond disputes, mold litigation and insurance coverage disputes. He is a Trustee of the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches, and a member of the Business Political Action Committee of Palm Beach County and Professionalism and Judicial Relations Committees for the Palm Beach County Bar Association. Thomas received his undergraduate and juris doctorate degrees from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
