Gunster is pleased to announce that shareholder Amy Brigham Boulris has been elected to the American Law Institute (ALI), the leading independent organization in the U.S. producing scholarly work to clarify the law. Founded in 1923, ALI drafts, discusses, revises, and publishes Restatements of the Law, Model Codes, and Principles of Law that are enormously influential in the courts and legislatures, as well as in legal scholarship and education.

“For the past 100 years, The American Law Institute has aspired to strengthen and improve the legal system,” said ALI President David F. Levi. “Our greatest asset has always been our extraordinary members’ dedication of time, intellect, and energy to our projects. As we close out this 100th Anniversary year and enter the Institute’s second century, I look forward to seeing the ways in which this class will continue our tradition of excellence in promoting and protecting the rule of law.”

A veteran property rights litigator who exclusively represents landowners in eminent domain, takings, development exactions, Harris Act, and civil rights contexts, Brigham’s selection further evidences her dedication and impact on the legal profession and legal scholarship.
