DAVIE, Fla. – More than 500 professionals involved in estate and trust planning – a record-breaking crowd – attended the 11th Annual Joint Tax and Estate Planning Seminar and breakfast on Thursday, November 8 at Nova Southeastern University’s Rose and Alfred Miniaci Theater.

The United Way of Broward County, the Community Foundation of Broward and the Jewish Community Foundation of Broward County joined  forces again this year to put on the event, which draws professionals from Palm Beach to Miami-Dade counties.

The keynote speaker was Steve R. Akers, J.D. of Bessemer Trust.  Mr. Akers discussed “Estate Planning Strategies in a Post-Election World.”  Steve R. Akers, JD, is managing director with Bessemer Trust in Dallas, Texas, and a frequent presenter at the University of Miami Philip E. Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning.
