Florida Trend invited peer nominations from across the state to recommend women leaders in law who met specific methodology and criteria parameters. Nominations were vetted by Florida Trend and the most noteworthy candidates were selected based on their outstanding leadership, mentorship, vision for change and growth.

Nicole K. Atkinson is a litigation shareholder who co-leads Gunster’s Professional Liability Defense group. She also co-chairs the firm’s Women’s Leadership Forum and serves on the firm’s Diversity Committee. Nicole represents clients in a variety of litigation and estate and trust matters. She has a broad range of experience at the trial and appellate levels in federal and state courts throughout the country. Her practice includes defending accountants and lawyers in professional liability cases, handling complex business litigation matters, contract disputes, real estate disputes, product liability litigation, intellectual property litigation and estate and trust litigation.
Elaine Bucher is a shareholder in the Private Wealth Services group who serves on Gunster’s board of directors. Elaine’s practice is dedicated exclusively to sophisticated estate planning, estate and trust administration and fiduciary litigation. Elaine has extensive experience in implementing advanced wealth preservation techniques, transfer tax planning and business succession planning, as well as representing fiduciaries and beneficiaries in complex and disputed estate and trust administration matters. Elaine is an active member of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), having served on the Executive Committee, Board of Regents, and as Florida state chair.
Julia M. Holden Davis is a trial lawyer who serves on Gunster’s board of directors. She focuses her practice on the construction and transportation sectors. Having served as the chief operating officer of a large regional firm, Julia is dedicated to bringing a practical understanding of the realities facing businesses. She strives to assist her clients with the constant balance between managing risks and solving problems while pursuing opportunities and growth in today’s competitive market.
