Adams, Jr., attorney and shareholder with the Jacksonville office of Gunster, Yoakley & Stewart, P.A. has been appointed to the Fourth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission by Governor Charlie Crist. Bill Adams succeeds Merton Munson on the board and will serve a term from April 24, 2008 through July 1, 2010. As a member of the Fourth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission, Adams will help fill vacancies on the bench in Clay, Duval and Nassau counties. The commission will interview potential judges and make recommendations to the Governor. “It is an honor to be appointed to the Fourth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. The Fourth Judicial Circuit has a long history of outstanding judges and I look forward to working with my colleagues on the commission and the Governor’s office to continue that tradition of excellence,” stated Adams after his recent appointment.
Adams is a trial lawyer concentrating his practice in complex commercial litigation.
He received his law degree and his bachelor’s degree from Southern Methodist University where he was a member of the prestigious Order of the Coif. Adams also serves on the board of directors of Three Rivers Legal Services, which provides legal services in communities throughout north central Florida. He is admitted to practice in Florida and Texas.
