Nicolas J. Cathcart is a Business Litigation attorney in Gunster’s Fort Lauderdale office. Nicolas graduated magna cum laude from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and graduated summa cum laude with his bachelor’s degree from Florida Atlantic University.

While in law school, Nicolas served as a judicial intern for United States District Judge Kathryn K. Mizelle and worked as a certified legal intern for the State Attorney’s Office for Florida’s 8th Judicial Circuit. While a certified legal intern, Nicolas gained valuable trial experience, and he served as second chair in a criminal trial which resulted in conviction. He also was an active member of the Florida Moot Court Team, competing in the American Bar Associations National Appellate Advocacy Competition and winning both the 2023 Philadelphia Regional and 5th place National Best Advocate. Additionally, he was an articles editor for the Florida Law Review.
