Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, announced today that it is expanding in the Orlando market by adding the team of attorneys from Pohl & Short, P.A.

James B. Davis has been appointed president of the Planned Giving Council of Broward for the 2015-16 term. Chair of Gunster’s tax law practice, Davis previously served as vice president and programs director for the council, and he succeeds Paul Keefe as president.

J. Cameron Yarbrough joins Gunster’s government affairs team as a governmental affairs consultant in its Tallahassee office.

Earnest DeLoach, a shareholder in Gunster’s Orlando office, has been named general counsel to the African-American Chamber of Commerce of Central Florida.

Gunster attorney Michael V. Mitrione has been elected to the governing board of the Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center for the 2015 – 2016 term.

Brian L. Belt has joined the firm as a shareholder in the Miami office. Belt joins the real estate, corporate and construction practices.

Meredith I. Biggs and Matthew J. Scheer have been hired as attorneys in the West Palm Beach office. Biggs join’s the firm’s labor and employment practice and Scheer is a new addition to the tax practice.
