Erika Lusky Bernhard embodies an unwavering passion for United States immigration law. As a first-generation American, she has devoted her career to this practice. Driven by a deep commitment to exceptional advocacy, Erika finds great fulfillment in assisting individuals in an effort to realize their immigration goals.
Before joining Gunster, Erika worked for the United States Department of Justice Executive Office for Immigration Review, where she provided legal counsel to United States Immigration Judges. In this role, she developed fluency in diverse areas of immigration law including removal, admissibility, citizenship, crime, human rights, natural disasters, national security and asylum.
Erika’s journey also includes a role as a law clerk at a prestigious international immigration law firm, where she conducted in-depth business visa and work permit case analysis, and skillfully prepared employment and family-based immigration applications. She has also volunteered with immigration organizations that represent unaccompanied minors and immigrant survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Erika works hard to deliver effective communication and representation for clients from diverse backgrounds. With her dedication, extensive experience and knowledge, Erika brings invaluable contributions to our team as an outstanding legal professional.
