Kevin Kane joined Gunster’s Jacksonville office in 2011. Kevin primarily advises entrepreneurs, professionals and financially successful people on the business and personal legal issues that result from being financially successful. Kevin assists a variety of clients with the design, implementation and adaptation of sophisticated, yet understandable, business and wealth enhancement, protection and transfer strategies.
Kevin is dedicated to recognizing the core concerns and objectives of each client he serves and, as a team player, is committed to working productively with his clients’ accountants, investment advisors, trust officers, insurance professionals and other professional advisors. Kevin’s estate planning experience includes preparing wills, revocable trusts and the many different varieties of irrevocable trusts, as well as creating family entities, charitable foundations and lifetime giving programs. Whether he is retained to draft an operating agreement for a client’s limited liability company or a trust agreement in connection with an estate plan, Kevin continuously strives to provide practical, solutions oriented legal counsel by listening closely to his client’s concerns and sharing his experiences.
As a Florida Board Certified Tax Attorney, Kevin routinely advises clients on significant federal income and estate tax questions. This includes advising businesses and business owners on matters of proper structure, deferred and equity compensation and employee benefits, as well as charitable organizations on their tax exempt status and operational challenges.
