Amy S. L. Terwilleger is a business litigation shareholder who focuses her practice on the defense of legal and accounting professional malpractice claims. She understands the importance of protecting professionals’ reputations while litigating zealously in an effort to achieve a favorable resolution. Amy has been integral to the firm’s defense of legal and accounting malpractice cases in high-stakes and high dollar amount litigation. Her dedication to the defense of professionals is further reflected in her support to the firm’s general counsel for internal loss prevention efforts.

Amy also assists clients in general business litigation, including contract and shareholder disputes in federal and state courts throughout Florida, and arbitration. A particular focus of Amy’s practice has been assisting large, cutting edge companies in disputes regarding tax liability and other issues. She has represented clients on multiple issues of first impression from trial court to the Florida Supreme Court.

Amy’s goal is to bring exuberance, energy, and attention to detail to each representation, while striving to achieve desirable results for clients.

Through performing stand-up comedy and improv acting, Amy has developed an ability to think quickly on her feet, a trait which she endeavors to use daily in her legal practice.

Amy began her practice at Gunster. She is a vice chair of the firm's Women’s Leadership Forum.
